Saltwater seatrout on the fly
Our new running lines from AV Jensen are 2 color, as they change color for every 5 meters!
The Saltwater fly fisherman will know exactly how much line he needs out to reach a fish he has had contact with earlier. There is no guessing, you just find a fix point on the running line, then you will have the fly crossing exactly over the lie when you return to the same fish.
For the sea trout or bass saltwater fly fisherman, this line will probably divide the fishermen into those who hate it and those who find it fun to know how far you have just cast!
These floating running lines are perfect to use with my new range of shooting heads. They have strong and super slick coatings that run smoothly through the guides, but still add that little resistance, that ensures great control.
These lines have very slim welded loops in both ends for easy assembling with the shooting head.

Shooting head 10,7 meter and New 9,3 meter shooting heads
I have had many requests for a shorter version of the 10,7 m very popular shooting head. So here it is. As for the longer version it is designed to simplify casting long lines with less effort. Well, that’s the whole point with a shooting head you might say. True of course, but the profile of the head can be more or less effective.
These heads are 9,3 meters long and designed to turn over flies in windy situations. They all have a rear taper. The rear taper ensures good aerial properties, which will add a little extra to your casting.
You can even turn the head backward to get a more aggressive taper in the front.
Some casters prefer this in especially very windy conditions or when using big bulky flies. The new shooting heads have slim welded loops in both ends.
In this series of heads you also find a # 5 head, that fits the new High Tide saltwater rod range available exclusively from www.probassflyandlure.com

The Advanced Helical Taper
One of the trademarks of the A.jensen rods is the time we spend on each model, before it enters the market. We will rather take one year extra with the test team and designers, than force products into the market, that we don’t have full confidence in.
We design our rods, based on a practical angle to fly-fishing. First of all we are fly fishers ourselves, and we work with the aim to make great equipment, in order for you to experience more effective fishing, and most important more joy in fly fishing.
By our terms a fly rod is not just a casting tool, but also a tool for fishing. By that we mean that it should handle both the casting and the joy of fishing and playing a fish at the same time.
Beside that we wanted to create rods that are able to cast both long lines and shorter lines with full control, as this is one of the crucial aspects of fly fishing. With many modern fly rods you only get the rod properly loaded, with a lot of line outside the top, and only from that point on will you cast with full control.
We want our rods to load with short lines, but still be able to cast long lines.
In order to achieve what we want we make a so-called “compensated tip”, meaning a tip that loads quickly.
One could make the top of softer material, but then you get a rod action, that feels strange when casting.
Instead we use “Advanced Helical Taper” technology and thereby creating a rod, where the top of the rod loads quickly, without being soft. The “Advanced Helical Taper” technology means changing and opening the angle of the helical wound graphite towards the top. By using the same material, and still under the same amount of tons of pressure as the rest of the blank, we get a rod, which performs with a unique balance.
The quick loading top has many benefits. When fishing shorter lines, such as when fishing dries and nymphs, you will have more accuracy and control.
When fishing still waters, both lakes and salts, you will with much ease be able to shoot the first meters of line, as the rod actually cast the line right from the first false cast. There is no “waving” the rod, to get so much line out, that the rod actually loads and casts.
Your casting strokes will be more balanced, as you get a rhythm right from the start of the cast. It will simply put feel easier.
On top of that the rod is a light and sensitive instrument, and an absolutely joy to play a fish on. This brings us back to the where we started – We want to make a fishing rod, not just a casting rod.
All A.Jensen rods are covered by a lifetime warranty.
